David created Austchilli in 1995 by drawing upon his experience in small crops, his knowledge as a qualified mechanical engineer and his passion for innovation. He successfully identified the potential for fresh chilli varieties in the Australian market and set about cultivating the largest chilli company in Australia. Taking fresh supply to the step‚ was only a matter of time and within two years David, working with a small and dedicated team, pioneered value added chilli ingredient purees for the food manufacturing industry. 

These aseptically packed products revolutionised the way manufacturers could take advantage of the convenience and consistency this technique delivered. And so, the innovation has continued and the technology was applied to other ingredients. Now over 35 product lines are available to clients all over the world. Nowadays, David spends his time on strategic planning for his company. Another example of his foresight is the development of Austchilli's sister company, Pressure Fresh Australia.
